Working girl

I'm going to try to tell you about my job without actually telling you where I work. I don't want any crazed stalkers.

Actually, a crazed stalker would give me something to talk about. If you'd like to apply for the position just drop me an email.

Anyway. I have been working in Local Government since I left college. I didn't go to university but am currently perusing courses, as there's some talk of work shipping me off to some temple of learning in order for me to better myself.

I started off in a lowly position in Human Resources. I am now Adult and Community Services' rather whizzy Development Assistant. This is quite an achievement. I have a sexy graphics tablet and would have business cards if I didn't keep forgetting to get them printed.

I've only been in post since summer 2007 and it's a brand-new job in a brand-new team, so I'm still finding my feet with quite a lot of my work. It's a little bit of public relations and marketing, a little bit of graphic design (I'm not pretending I'm a pro at it), a little bit of webmastering (webmistressing? webmistressery?), a little bit of events planning and if anyone writes anything for our staff or service users I get to go and beat them with my dictionary and Plain English stick.
